14th Annual African American/Latino Leadership Conference on HIV/AIDS
Dear Colleagues;
We are delighted to announce the 2009 African American and Hispanic/Latino Leadership Conference on HIV/AIDS will be held September 24, 25, & 26 at the Marriott's Cincinnati Airport Hotel, Hebron, Kentucky. This is the conference's 14th year.
The African American and Hispanic/Latino Leadership Conference on HIV/AIDS is designed to draw attention to, and stop the spread of HIV. The conference will focus on HIV/AIDS education, information dissemination, technical assistance, HIV Testing, and medical updates in efforts to mobilize the African American and Hispanic Communities. The Conference has provided individuals from all walks of life with the skills and knowledge to return to their communities and implement interventions to stop the spread of HIV. The conference theme is "Life is Worth Saving". We invite you to consider sharing your knowledge and expertise on strategies to build stronger community involvement. The conference will focus on these essential tracks: Hispanic/Latino , Men’s/MSM, Women’s/ WSW, Transgender, Faith Based, Medical, IDU & Unique Issues.
We invite abstracts for single sessions on Friday and
Saturday, September 25 & 26, 2009, Sessions are approximately
90 minutes in length, although longer and shorter slots may
be available. Submissions should exemplify current best
practices and present new issues or topics, innovative ways
of viewing traditional issues, and/or research that
substantiates, promotes, and advances the work in the field
of HIV prevention for African Americans and Hispanic. We
welcome teams of presenters.
We hope that you will join us in September 2009, as a
presenter or a participant, and help in the fight against
the spread of the HIV disease in the African American and
Hispanic communities.
